OF THE SERIES: “WHERE SILENCE INHABITS”

Does the vacuum should be filled out as? Since its birth in ancient Greece, Western culture has been obsessed by the fear of emptiness. But White space is fertile! I’ve been experiencing in my painting, I felt that these blanks, gaps, absences and silences are like absolute poem or music, are an active part by creating an internal dynamic.
These are my new spaces desired geographical coordinates are both a sentimental and reflective geography, where the color persists, dialogue and struggle with anything. Giacometti said that “The purpose of art is not to reproduce reality, but to create a reality of the same intensity” … this is my premise, that allows me to launch the horizon these paintings, whose initial whiteness have given me the right to dream but also the color thoughtful empty, creating spaces with its own vocabulary, looking for a personal construction of the world and myself.

DE LA SERIE “DONDE HABITA EL SILENCIO”
¿El vacío debía ser colmado como fuera? Desde su nacimiento en la vieja Grecia, nuestra cultura occidental se ha visto obsesionada por el horror al vacío. Pero El espacio en blanco es fértil! Lo he ido experimentando en mi pintura, he sentido que estos espacios en blanco, huecos, ausencias y absolutos son como los silencios del poema o de la música, constituyen su parte activa, creando un dinamismo interno.
Estos son mis nuevos espacios deseados, coordenadas geográficas que son a la vez, una geografía sentimental y reflexiva, donde el color persiste, dialoga y lucha con la nada. Giacometti afirmó que “La finalidad del arte no es reproducir la realidad, sino crear una realidad de la misma intensidad”… esta es mi premisa, la que me permite lanzar al horizonte estos lienzos, cuya blancura inicial me han dado el derecho a soñar con el color pero también con vacíos bien pensados, creando espacios con un propio vocabulario, en busca de una construcción personal del mundo y de mí misma.

I’m proud to be part of WeARTe, as co-curator I wish to create and expand the interconnection points between artists and society which are needed to continue promoting diversity.
WeARTe is an exhibition proposal which aims to display and highlight the vanguard of a group of artists from the Iberian peninsula, which, being of different generations, bring to us the world and its realities through art.
This exhibition is a unique and honest view, that joins emerging and recognised artists in establishing an artistic coalition that seeks to create an international point of contemporary meeting in the beautiful city of Poznan, providing the public with the chance to be part of this connection.
Me siento orgullosa de ser parte del proyecto WeARTe, como co-curadora intento crear y ampliar puntos de inter-conexión entre los artistas y la sociedad necesarios para seguir fomentando la diversidad.
WeARTe es una propuesta expositiva que tiene por finalidad mostrar y resaltar las vanguardias de un grupo de artistas de la península ibérica que siendo de diferentes generaciones nos aproximan al mundo y sus realidades a través del Arte.
Esta exhibición brinda una visión única y honesta que se une a la de otros artistas invitados, emergentes y reconocidos, estableciendo una coalición artística que pretende crear un punto de encuentro internacional y contemporáneo en la bella ciudad de Poznan brindando al público la ocasión de ser parte de esta conexión.

This book documents the 4th installment of Twitter Art Exhibit, which took place in Orlando in March of 2014. Artists worldwide donated postcard-sized, handmade original artwork to help raise funds for special needs students at the Center for Contemporary Dance in Winter Park, Florida.

Twitter Art Exhibit: Orlando is an international exhibition of original postcard art benefiting The Center for Contemporary Dance, Special Needs Classes, a nonprofit (501)©3 organization dedicated to dance education and outreach. The Special Needs Classes include customized exercises that expand the student’s range of motion, creativity and social skills. Class work is further designed to enhance skills in memorization, problem solving and communication. Belinda Balleras, whose son takes classes every week, says: “He has a new sense of creative fulfillment and an additional pathway to productively express emotions.”

Do you feel that Mail Art has been a good way for you to connect with a wide audience of participants about Women’s Issues? Was there a reason you chose this particular kind of art? Had you considered other types of art or did you come from a Mail Art background yourself and then decide to apply it to this particular topic?
Yes, definitely! Mail art has allowed me to meet a variety of artists, learn more about the world of mail art and create a vital and social bonding on the subject of women, an issue that unfortunately still needs many changes and global reflections.
I am a visual artist and I dedicate myself to art for many years, I have participated in numerous exhibitions with my paintings and photographs, but I really wanted to have an art project that was not only personal but social rather, I think the Art has a transformative power and cohesive, need to contribute to the reflection and because the resolution of social problems that still plague humanity.
As an artist I had discovered mail art as a way of expressing myself, first with personal correspondence with other artists as the internet helped massively intensified this artistic activity knew more and create a large core of mail art artists with numerous announcements.
With all this background I found in the mail art one way to approach this ideal of transformation, to contribute in some way to a dialogue between art and society on the subject of women, so I decided to create a virtual female group, from which gender and work multiculturalita, opened worldwide calls on the subject of women and the response was amazing.
Besides that not only responded artists but people need to say about the theme too, without artistic connections but with a need to express, men and women, the elderly, students and children have responded my calls, and all together , artists and non-artists have created through their postal contemporary female identity that screams and whispers.
